Marriage: Take Two!
Marriage is supposed to be that do once thing and live happily ever after. However, some of us don’t get it right the first time so we go ahead and try again which is exactly what I did this week.
My first marriage didn’t exactly go very well. I guess I am to blame for a large part of it since it was something I had a lot of hesitations about before it took place and I just chalked it up as cold feet. But as time went on, it was clear it wasn’t the right thing for either of us so we moved on.
I carried on and met Erin who has been my girlfriend for the last five plus years. She’s been a pretty great partner and we share a lot of the same interests and goals in life. She has been a great friend and partner and we decided to go to the next step and get married.
I always told myself I would never do it again and was pretty sure I never wanted to either. I am very much a person who likes my space and likes my privacy not to mention the fact that I like to huddle away in my cave and am not real big on going out and meeting people. Erin, it turns out would change my outlook on my thoughts on marriage.
We had planned on doing a very small wedding to make it official down in Virginia near her family and her ailing grandmother. She is very close to her grandmother and she is battling both age and health factors so we figured we’d do something down there s she could be part of it and after we’d do something to encompass a greater portion of our family. For me, I feel like a tard inviting my extended family to anything as they already attended the first one.
So we had a nice small gathering this week down in Virginia! I have had some people ask what we need (some family and friends) so I am adding my little button here. I am calling it my “Import Erin” fund to fund our immigration process (at the bottom you can chose to continue without using Paypal).

GOOD LUCK YOU TWO.
I truly hope the two of you can be happy forever.
Welcome to our family Erin, I have seen the smile you can create
on my sons face and I’ve seen you smile back with love to him.
That alone makes me so happy for both of you.
All a parent ever wants is for their son or daughter to be happy
and the two of you seem to do just that for each other.
With all my Love……….DAD
